Key Features for our beef tomahawk steak

  • High Marbling - This cut features generous marbling, with fat streaks running through the meat. The marbling melts during cooking, infusing the steak with juiciness and rich flavour.
  • Tenderness - Sourced from the rib section, the tomahawk steak is exceptionally tender and succulent, making it a favourite for steak enthusiasts.
  • Impressive Size - Tomahawk steaks are known for their large size. Our tomahawk steaks typically weigh between 30-45 ounces (850-1300 grams) or more. The extended bone, around 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) long, contributes to its impressive presentation.

Cooking Tips: Bring the steak up to room temperature- we recommend taking it out of the fridge 30-60 minutes prior to when you need to start cooking. Season the steak well with salt, pepper, olive oil and a sprig of rosemary. Pre heat the oven to  200°C / 180°C fan /Gas mark 6. Heat a flat based frying pan over a high heat and pan sear the steak on all sides using the bone as a handle if needed. Transfer to a baking pan and put into the oven. Here are suggested timings based on a 1kg tomahawk steak. For best results use a meat thermometer to accurately determine whether the steak is cooked to your liking.
