We are looking for an experienced and passionate Catering Butcher to join our busy production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-quality meats, preparing products for commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, schools, and catering businesses.
As a Catering Butcher, you will be responsible for accurately cutting, trimming, boning, and preparing a wide variety of meat products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Cut, bone, trim, and portion a variety of meat products to customer specifications
- Operate butchery machinery and equipment safely
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and delivery deadlines
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation
- Follow all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
Must Have
- Previous butchery experience
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts
- Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices
- Reliable, hardworking, and punctual
Nice to have
- Experience preparing large-volume catering orders
- Experience using butchery machinery such as bandsaws, tenderisers etc
- Knowledge of yield management and portion control
- HACCP or Food Safety certification
