Back in an age when supermarkets began retail domination Meatline began as an artisan family butcher in Broomfield road. Proudly striving to offer good quality, locally sourced, products, over the past thirty years the Meatline family has grown to serve over thirty-five regional schools, many independent restaurants and several high-profile sports stadiums and venues. We strive to maintain our core values that represent ethical produce, honest pricing and reliable service. Steve is still a major part of the Meatline family and is our ‘Lord of the realm’, overseeing the day-to-day running of the company.

Company Director - Wesley Sims

Beginning his butchery career at the age of fourteen Wesley Sims PGC (he hates that) lives and breathes meat. With many years’ experience in practical butchery and meat science he continues to expand his knowledge- currently nearing the end of a Master’s degree in ‘meat and business management’. When not guiding the Meatline ship Wesley is an avid snowboarder.

Operations Manager - Lee Restarick

Lee comes from a long family line of butchers and has several decades of hands-on butchery experience. His creativity can be found in many aspects of the Meatline product range. His passion is creating fantastic products from normal cuts of meat. Lee is also our Facebook guru and pretty handy with his camera.

Maldon Store Manager - Gary Johnson

A butcher of over thirty-five years Gary has a passion for customer service and impeccable hygiene standards. A quintessential people pleaser, Gary’s cheery disposition has graced many butchery establishments over the past three decades. He is an avid cook and his last meal on earth would be a classic Sunday roast of beef fore-rib.

Bicknacre Store Manager - Andy Jackson

With a lifetime of butchery experience in the commercial sector Andy runs the Bicknacre store with pride and passion. An expert sausage maker and highly skilled in all aspects of butchery Andy has a deep passion for all aspects of butchery, alongside a keen eye for detail and love of customer care. The Bicknacre shop, located in the lovely White Elms garden centre is our 'flagship authentic farm store', nestled alongside Jamie's fruit and vegetable shop.

 Butchery Protégé - Scott Kendall

With two year’s butchery experience Scott sees butchery as an art form and aims to be the best. He is currently completing his NVQ Level 2 and aims to continue to a Master’s Degree in butchery.

With a career spanning almost four decades Terry, a skilled Baxter’s trained butcher, is our go to recipe guy, always on hand to offer handy recipe advice, tips and tricks. Terry is our certified in-house trainer together with being our bona-fide customer service gent.

Legendary Driver - Warren Vyse

Out and about at all hours and in any weather condition our drivers are the core of our commercial operation. Warren is an avid angler and outdoorsman, together with being the cheery optimist of Meatline.
